Smacking Owls

Student 1: "Have you ever seen an owl?"
Me: "Yes actually, I hit one with my car once on accident."
Student 1: "YOU HIT AN OWL?!"
Me: "Uh, yes? I said it was an accident! What else was I supposed to to? It flew into my windshield while I was driving!"
Student 1: "You could have smacked it!"
